Behind the Scene

We all tried really hard designing a shirt for this event … when we failed miserably, we were caught by a very generous offer … Mr. Jeff Hobrath donated his time to create the essence of the HillClimb—comorodore.

Jeff is a world-famous t-shirt designer, having served his country with both physical duty and his striking art. He also loves to illustrate racecars. I’m so happy he illustrated ours.

Jeff’s design was altered to add an element but his style remains and we want to give a great big giant thank you to Mr. Hobrath and invite him next year … perhaps he’ll bring a car.

The inspiration for the art came from Ralph Onate and Jim Miller. Both gone now, but memorialized this weekend and always. The below is what we provided Mr. Hobrath so he’d know what we were doing this weekend … I thought it might be fun to see how we got to what we ended up with …
